North Westphalia is on its way to become a hydrogen region. Numerous application and infrastructure projects are the cornerstone of our regional hydrogen economy. Universities and companies in the Münsterland and the Emscher-Lippe regions are actively working together in this field. Central requirement for success is the availability of hydrogen.

In Germany, there are 79 Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) with the Association of the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) as their umbrella organisation. The CCIs are independent bodies incorporated under public law. As part of the state administration, the chambers are performing sovereign tasks, representing the general interests of the regional economy and offering their companies voluntary services. The CCI North Westphalia represents more than 150,000 enterprises in industry, retail, trade, transport, banking and insurance as well as services in the Münsterland and Emscher Lippe regions.
